About Us

Modern Dog Mom was born out of one of those a-ha moments. You know, the kind that happens when you trip over a squeaky plush taco for the third time that day.

Every month, we’d get a box of toys and treats delivered for our dogs, Freddy (yorkie) and Rudy (golden retriever). At first, it was fun and unboxing day felt like a mini celebration! But over time, the toys started to take over… the living room, the bedroom, even the laundry room. Some of their toys were barely touched, others had a squeaker sound that haunted my dreams.

That’s when it hit me: we didn’t need more dog toys. What I really wanted was more meaningful moments with my dogs.

I went looking for a subscription that focused on doing fun things with my dogs. But nothing really hit the mark. So I started making a list of the kinds of things my dog mom friends and I loved doing with our pups… and that list grew into themed collections full of activities and fun ideas to help dog moms create special memories with their three and four-legged furry BFFs.

With a little creativity and a lot of Reeces peanut butter cups to fuel me while I launched this website, Modern Dog Mom was officially born.
